Personalize Your Wedding With Photos
The bride and groom are naturally the focal point of their own wedding. After all, without them, there would be no marriage celebration. Including your photos in the wedding will really mark it as your own special event. These are suggestions on customizing a wedding with your pictures.
The save the date cards are a great place to use a picture of the bride and groom. Since so many couples now have engagement pictures taken, this should be a piece of cake. You’ll want to allow plenty of time before you need the cards to get the pictures back from your photographer. If you are not planning on having professional engagement photos taken, a very cute alternative is to take pictures in a photo booth. Feel free to use slightly goofy photos if you want. Simply wonderful!
Enhance your ceremony with meaningful photographs. For a rustic barn wedding, suspend a clothesline and use clothespins to hang up pictures of the bride and groom from childhood to present day. It will be so fun for your family to walk down memory lane, remembering when these two adults were little kids. It will be neat to see the pictures from when the bride and groom first met through the present day. Include some of the silly pictures too! Everyone will want to see how the elegant bride looked as a teenager with braces and a bad perm, or how she gamely wore all those crazy dresses with matching shoes and bridesmaid jewelry sets as a bridesmaid in various weddings. Your attendants will feel grateful that they get to wear such tasteful dresses and sets of bridesmaid jewelry!
You can also design your wedding centerpieces around special photos. Look for special cube vases that have picture frames on the sides. Your special photos combined with lovely flowers will make for a wonderful wedding centerpiece. These vases can be purchased pre-made, or if you are creative, you can make your own by gluing thin frames to plain square glass vases. Black and white photographs tend to look especially nice. Pair them with bright pink or rich red roses for contrast.
You definitely don’t have to limit yourself to using numbers on your reception tables. It would be so much more interesting to take pictures of the bride and groom holding up large numbers, and then use that image for the table labels. What a great conversation starter for your guests. They will probably want to go around the whole room to see the different pictures on each table. Another idea is to use photos of the bride and groom doing a variety of activities instead of using table numbers. Each one can have the location name, and that is what you put on the escort cards. If you have a lot of great vacation memories, this could be a terrific idea for your wedding. It sure would be more fun to sit at a table called “Aspen” or “Disney Land” than “One” or “Eleven”.
Where else can you put photographs at your wedding? Consider the wedding cake, favors, or hung in frames on the wall. When pictures of the bride and groom are part of the wedding, it makes it extra memorable.

Casablanca: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack $13.96 Its exotic locale, the romantic chemistry of Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman with a gripping equation of star-crossed romance and hard-boiled valor made Casablanca an Oscar-winning surpise that erased Warner Brothers studio executives’ disappointment in George Raft for not signing on as Rick, the suave, mysterious proprietor of the café that serves as ground zero for this timeless 1942 classic… |

Casablanca (Snap Case) $4.98 A truly perfect movie, the 1942 Casablanca still wows viewers today, and for good reason. Its unique story of a love triangle set against terribly high stakes in the war against a monster is sophisticated instead of outlandish, intriguing instead of garish. Humphrey Bogart plays the allegedly apolitical club owner in unoccupied French territory that is nevertheless crawling with Nazis; Ingrid Berg… |
