Any ideas for inexpensive photography?
My boyfriend and I are on a pretty tight budget for our wedding and so far we’ve had pretty good luck planning a fantastic but cost effective wedding. We had a family friend who was going to do our photography but long story made short they have had to back out. I’ve been pricing photographers and the cost is horrendous. Seriously, all the prices I’ve been quoted have been equal to the cost of the entire ceremony and reception.
We would only need a photographer for an hour or two, we do want a CD with a copyright waiver (which with some places is an additional $1000), and we’re willing to work with someone less experienced but their work still needs to be of good quality.
Any ideas??
A few ideas- if you have friends who take nice photos, ask 3 or 4 of them to do it. That way you end up with lots of photos in different styles.
Another idea is to call a CC in your area and ask about photography classes, contact the instructor and go to a class one night and ask if any of the amateur photogs are willing to do it for a low fee.
Craigslist sometimes has amateurs that are willing to do it for under $500.
